History/Company Profile:
Coral Hospitality is a full service hospitality management and investment
company specializing in hotels, clubs and residential communities.
John Ayres, Chairman, and Lee Weeks, Chief Executive Officer, bring
more than six decades of five-star management experience to Coral
Hospitality and their partners. The roots of the company formed in
1988, when Ayres founded Coral Beach Hotels & Resorts. A talent
for locating and acquiring aging hotels in prime locations, infusing
them with capital, instituting top management and conducting international
marketing, successfully resulted in the generation of significant
profits and the return of the properties to their former significance.
Ayres’ ability to recognize hotels with potential and the company’s
skill at assembling creative financing deals became a powerful formula
for growth. In 1999, Ayres partnered with Lee Weeks and together they
created the Coral Beach Club Company, a management company founded
on their shared philosophy that clubs are hospitality venues which
could benefit from the hotel industry’s systems, service and
procedures. Along with their growth of both developer owned and equity
clubs, Weeks and Ayres recognized the need to successfully marry the
needs of club members who wanted the luxuries of a subsidized club
and operating a financially successful business. In 2002, Coral expanded
it’s portfolio to include residential community management,
creating a new division within the company. In addition to managing
master community associations, this move allowed Coral to focus on
the growing condominium market, as well as, condominium hotels and
resorts. In 2004, Coral Beach Clubs and Coral Beach Hotels & Resorts
merged to create Coral Hospitality. This move allowed the partners
to streamline their operations into a single management entity for
clubs and hotels. The result is one company with broader resources,
ranging from people to product purchasing power. With service and
value as its major focal points, Coral Hospitality has widened its
spectrum to include a diverse hotel portfolio of hotels, private clubs
and residential communities. Currently managing a collection of more
than 35 properties through out Florida and Georgia, Coral operates
each with a core belief in providing thoughtful service in unique
surroundings. The hotel properties managed by Coral Hospitality are
marketed collectively to the growing number of leisure and business
travelers seeking the unique experiences provided by independent hotels.
The seasoned management team works closely with each hotel to develop
a strategic growth plan while enhancing the individual properties’
personality. The hotels meet exacting standards of service and reflect
the distinctive qualities of their destinations through architecture,
interior design, services and amenities.
Growth:
Coral Hospitality continues to pursue a growth plan to enhance its
portfolio with new hotels and clubs in Florida and beyond, as well
as identifying additional capital partners with similar interest in
developing and managing unique properties within the hospitality industry.
